My Peer Group!!

Some of us on high school
Our peer group was created in the third year in high school, in 2006, when we were more or less 14. Until now we´ve seen some changes inside (new people came and another went out). At present we are a group of about 13 members.
In this year everything change a lot. Most of us left high school and we are at university making different studies (Psychology, Computer sciences, Spanish Philology, Medicine, Aeronautical Engineering, Teaching...), while few friends are still at school.
Distances are longer and it is more difficult to see us and keep in touch as we did in the past... but it is not impossible. That´s why we try to meet as many times as we can , and social networks help us not to lose contact.

We usually spend time in a house or we go to the park , have dinner out, go to the pool in summer and sometimes we visit some clubs at nights.
We don´t go always all together , and we have got more confidence with ones than with others, as in all the peers groups.
Girls on our graduation

I need to point out that in my group, as in a primary´s classes, there is a thin line that separate all of us in two little groups : guys and girls. Maybe it can sound a little bit childish, but even being all good friends, we feel more confidence with people with the same gender.
Even though there are people inside our group (boys and girls) with more facility to lead and steer the group. That people usually is very sociable and can take the group confidence easily. They are who used to join us together at weekends. I must left clear that my peer group is not like a dictatorship; it is only that some of us organize better some things than others, but always respecting the rest of the members opinions.

I think my group is very ordinary, so it is normal and natural that we have arguments about serious and stupid things. When it happens the group takes different attitudes like:
  • Not talk about it when the affected people are present.
  • Try to mediate the problem.
  • Ignore the problem.
  • Force to solve it.
At this moment, the most common “problem” that we have is when people with boyfriend/girlfriend leave the group.

Spanishes, Argentinas, Colombians, Americans and Israelis in Italy
In my opinion my peer-group is great because each person has got different preferences of music, sports, religions, ...and we respect and learn about ourselves. Everyone invests something that makes the group special. And each one has got a role in it.
We are very sportive, but in different branches like football, basketball, volleyball, dance and martial arts. We also have got the smart and womanizer, ,the reserved, the loving one, the mature, the hard worker, the organizer, the “party goer”, the funny, the competitive, the joker...
My peer-group has the particularity that some of us were living in another country before Spain, so we have a mixture of cultures from Argentina, Colombia, Israel, USA,... and of course Spain.
We are just as our personality is and maybe, if we are still friends is because we know how to treat us without lies, jealousy or hate feelings and having a best relation between us combining our differences and making the confidence grows.

Human’s Behavior in School from the aliens´ eyes

Good Afternoon reader.
My name is Lk12%sh4. This week I’ve been on holidays with my family. We decided to go to the planet called Earth because we thought that it would be interesting to learn the habits of that stranger living beings.
At the early morning of the day that they call Monday we arrived , and we decided to set up in an empty building. It was very clean and decorated with colorful posters in the corridors, showing the human body’s stuff or issues that they love to talk about as something called ecology, AND ALSO THE UNIVERSE!!!. That was interesting because they only show the Milky Way in the posters.
In that building there were also a lot of exactly equal rooms with a lot of chairs and tables in one direction: to the front, where there were a big green thing.
My family and I were so tired due to the trip, so, we decided to sleep for a while and investigate more things the next day .
Then, when I closed my third eye to sleep, a very strong alarm sounded and a lot of young humans got in those similar classes. Each one had a chair and a table for them. They were gathered in groups where they were similar ages, boys and girls together. We run to hide us but we were observing all they were doing. That day I learned a lot about humans. Some things that I know now are:
  • The place were my family and I went is called school.
  • School is a building were young humans go to learn human knowledge.
  • Those young humans are called students.
  • Students sit on chairs and next to tables called desks.
  • Desks are opposite to a green object on the wall called blackboard.
  • Students are in silence or writing things that hear from an adult human who talks them about discipline.
  • That adult is called teacher and the students have to learn all he teaches.
  • The teacher uses the blackboard to write theories and helps the students to learn.
  • That alarm sounds when they change the discipline they learn or when they have a break.
  • The disciplines they have are called subjects and they are English, Math, Music, Sciences...
  • In the break they go out of the building to play games and sports.
  • In the afternoon they leave the school to come back to their homes with other adults called parents.
Isn´t it interesting? School is different where I come from... but if they learn like this.... it´s funny hihi.
In another day I will tell you how is mine, but now I have to take my pet for a walk.
Bye!!

WELCOME TO MY BLOG!!

Hi everyone!!!

My name is Elena and this is my blog!!!

Sincerely I always wanted to have one, but I´ve never done it... (maybe because I always forgot to update the others I´ve got as tuenti or facebook...)
But with this one it’s going to be different. Our sociology´s teacher cheer us up to do a blog where we can share ideas and talk about what we do in class, activities we have to do... I think it is a good idea, and very handy way to work due to we can modify our page anywhere with internet on.
We can also visit other blogs and compare our opinions with our classmates.
I’m going to talk about sociology and I will try to make this as easy and enjoyable as possible.
I hope you like it!!!!
see you!!
